Degraded analog pictures

Question for the experienced cable techs/engineers.  What types of problems would I experience if I drive my RF source from my node through too many devices?
Problem is in a housing area where main node feeds a trunk amp then single bridger leg feeds 5 taps then a LE, then 5 more taps then a LE, 5 more taps and a LE at this point I've got RF levels, but bad pictures.  My degraded pictures have horizontal lines going thru them.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
