I just did a TC today that was just what you have described. When I was done with it I actually thought about this topic here. One thing that I see hasn't been asked in this thread. Does the trunk amp have an agc in it? I know where I'm at with the weather being in 70 degrees during the day then in the 30's at night it plays heck with the agc's sometimes. If there is an agc flip it over to manual, reset your levels then go take a look at the pic. Make sure you set your agc up properly. Those little suckers can be a pain this time of year with the big swings in temps.
