I have some questions for you oldshool is; Lets say in some alternate universe every cable tech out there gets his or her degree, then what?
Does that fix the blatant abuse going on it that field?
Will the suits turn around and say "Oh everybody has their college degrees now let's pay them what their worth"
Will they stop cutting their rates as inflation keep climbing?
Will they stop hiring illegal immigrants?
And like PKTOM1 said what about the people that like their "CABLE DAWG" jobs? What do they do?
And despite what you make think tech work in the telecommunications industry is very, and I mean VERY lucrative!
Just not in the cable industry and why is that?
You look over at Verizon, AT&T, and of course city jobs and what is the common denominator?
Keep in mind these companies are now doing television as well as high speed internet access and of course phones.
Keep in mind they also have suits running their companies.
So what enables a man (or women) to make more money per year working less hours than the man (or women) busting their butts just to get by, When they're both essentially doing the same job?
Just a few questions!
