Well, here I sit, back in my motel room, alone, missing the family, waiting for that ****ed up feeling, that comes on day one after leaving home sweet home, to subside. You would think that, after many years of doing this, that one would get caloused enough to get used to it, but I can never seem to get used to having to hug and kiss the wife and kids, say goodbye, and drive off, leaving them teary eyed and feeling like ****, knowing that I'll be missing the Christmas plays, wrestling matches, etc., but also knowing this is what it takes to provide a good life for them. Any of you have any special formula that helps rid one of the torment? Without drugs and/or alcohol that is? Guess I got spoiled being home 95% of the last three years. Hope all of you had a great holiday weekend and have a safe trip back to the projects you are working. Life on the road SUCKS!!!
