I became a lineman in 72, and have been around long enough to know, that story has to many holes in it.  Who frames 40" from power? Did they have a bunch or gaurd-arms they wanted to get rid of?  And why wouldn't  you know why the power co. set such "taall poles". That power didn't happen to be primary did it? I'm thinking they had to go underground because the power co. didn't like you poppin all them holes in there poles. Heh heh.
