How about being a triple-play install/service field tech with no job?
My world is fine. I don't have a negative outlook on the whole world. I just forsee an even further downward sprial on job-loss for the field technicians. Not sales. Not programming. FIELD TECHS. Those who actually install and run trouble calls to repair.
So all this idle chatter about how "sales" is fine ...or how the MSO's are growing product is moot. Simply because the MSO is adding features to existing product does NOT add field jobs. If the end subscriber is retracting thier business, so goes the field jobs.
That is my point and my view-point: Cable is dead right now when it comes to field tech jobs.
It's easy to be positive and espouse how great it is when you HAVE a job.
