The newest line out in the world is that At&t has dropped dishnetwork and partnered with DTV as there sat hookup.
Directv was always on everyone for phonelines for there recievers and now with this new venture, any at&t job not having a phone at each reciever will not be paid except for a service call to fix the phone lines. I would love to know what desk jockeys came up with this ploy. The phrase I have 8 different bosses come to mind(Office Space). The day has come when the consumer has no say how their house is set up(phone lines, 2nd lines to the dvr, new lines because the prewire won't support). I enjoy the job as a subcontractor but everything being pushed these days treats and makes me conform more like an employee. These contracting companies and hsp's want their cake and eat it too without even offering some to the techs that make it for them. My new line is -sir your home is not adequate to support your new satellite tv because you don't have phone lines in it. Funny huh how phone lines can cause a line of sight problem.
