 DTV requires phone lines on every reciever but There are ways around it with the wireless phone jacks.....You can also when activating Let DTV know there is no phone line attached. Its not always feesible and every installer has a manager to call and let them know what you have that covers your butt. The HSP that I worked for DTV bought out and they have always told us to run phone lines but you cant say that every room you go into doesnt have a phone jack so as long as you hook phone lines to the majority of your installs you won't have no problems. There are still lots of folks that rely totally on cell service so hooking a phone line does no good. We had supervisors that would ctually go back to the customers house and check each reciever and see if a phoneline was attached, If not you failed the QC.
