I recently went to an interview and sat down with one of the managers to demonstrate my
knowledge..
All that went well and I proceeded to tell him the places that I worked for in the cable
industry...
I told him the most recent one and all of the sudden I was frowned upon The manager told
me that they tend to not hire techs from this said company - I asked for the reason and he told
me that "they usually do not work out" ....
I convinced him that I really knew the buisness and showed him reports that I saved that showed
repeats, call on installs .. .etc
So he says he will call my previous employer to make sure that all equipment (boxes, modems.. etc)
were turned in and I will be cleared..
So, I did not hear from him in 4 days so I called and left a couple messages... Just basic info - name,
number, explained what happen in the interview so he would remember me..
So about the 6th day I called once again... no answer... About a hour later I called from my girls' phone
and he picked up..
Of course he said he was busy ... lost my number etc ...
Then he stated the previous company I worked for said I kept the vehicle keys
and company phone and I had to clear that up with them before he was able to
hire me...
My previous employer will not return my calls and still yet - they owe me 2 pay checks as well..
Im wonder why my last employer would say that ?
I've been in cable about 6 years now and love the profession but Im tired of the
crap...
