Please take note. A union is a very helpfull organization to specific company structures. most unions take 50% from members gross wages. As a member of IBEW #3 NY. A standard A card electrician makes around $90/hr, your employer pays $45/hr to the union. you get the balance $45/hr. now if your a subcontractor things get very complicated. now remember unions are very powerfull, once in, its hard to get out. I recomend you all get sound advice from a neutral party before you get a union involved. (unions are good for sized up companies, not for production companies with one or two employee's. nothing is free in this world for most of us, you always give more than you get back)
