I have the standard non-compete clause in my contract to prevent me from working for other contractors in the area. Before I visit a lawyer, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences of getting out of it. I may have a breach of the main contract for non payment of a week of work because the sup lost the paperwork, but I was wondering what other options I might also have. If I get my self fired would that release me?
Any suggestions or comments?
