Unless you are only doing feeder the only 14 volt cordless I have found to hold up is "Old Milwaukee." It has 460 lbs of torque compared to 350/60 for most other 14 volt drills. At 350/60 lbs torque your battery won't last long when you start coring 750 (P3, QR) and above. And I haven't run into any 14 volts except the "OM" that will core 1". You are better off paying a little more money now (18 volt), even though you are just starting off, because in the long run you will come out ahead. And stay away from off brands, i.e. ryobi, sears brand, B&D. Ask around and you will see a pattern for drills. Also, look for a drill that has a "high/low" speed. This is different from a variable speed so don't let the salesperson bs you. Just my opinion on drills.
