We are seeking an experienced and motivated Telecommunications Construction Supervisor to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and oversee construction projects that are critical to the development and maintenance of our customers’ network.

Position Overview:

As a Telecommunications Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operations of telecommunications construction projects. You will ensure all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and project specifications. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of telecommunications systems, and the ability to effectively manage a team of construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the construction of telecommunications infrastructure projects, including both underground (UG) and aerial installations.
• Lead, coordinate, and monitor the daily activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory standards on all job sites.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, provide regular updates to stakeholders and resolve any issues or delays promptly.
• Conduct site assessments and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with local regulations for utility installations and construction work.
• Coordinate and manage underground (UG) utility locates to avoid conflicts with existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
• Ensure that all construction work is performed with minimal disruption to the community and network operations.
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, daily logs, equipment usage, and material orders.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical guidance to construction teams when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of field experience in telecommunications construction, with a focus on UG and aerial installations. At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optics, and coax cable systems.
• Field Experience: Familiarity with underground and aerial construction processes, utility locates and permitting requirements.
• Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and vendors.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to address and resolve project challenges in the field.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
