Sorry you feel that way SprDave. I used to have a bit of respect for your opinion.
(usa)I was just confirming a question that was asked. As for the rest of the comments on this. It just goes to show you that most contractors do not have a clue how cable system finances work. Yes it does on average cost X dollars to roll a truck. The difference is that when your truck is rolled on a new connect, upgrade or something adding to the plant, you can CAPITALIZE this cost and it does not hit the bottom line. This is good money to spend. Otherwise it is an expense and it is bad money to spend.
This kind of stuff is what has Adelphia, Worldcom, and others in trouble. Capitalizing things they should not have.
Anyway, I think you get the idea. No big thing against contractors, just a ledger page decision.
