Re: Time Warner doing all work in-house

Now that makes you sound like a complete moron. A dollar spent is still a dollar. It makes no diffrence how you account for it. That is exactly how the companies you mentioned got in trouble. And by the way "in-house" genius, most contractors do know how finance works. It doesn't matter if it's a cable system or a small hamburger stand. It comes down to one simple philosophy. Take in more money than what goes out. Get it! So why don't you climb down off your little pony and we will take care of all of our "ledger pages" without any more of your comments. GFY

> Sorry you feel that way SprDave. I used to have a bit of respect for your opinion.
> (usa)I was just confirming a question that was asked. As for the rest of the comments on this. It just goes to show you that most contractors do not have a clue how cable system finances work. Yes it does on average cost X dollars to roll a truck. The difference is that when your truck is rolled on a new connect, upgrade or something adding to the plant, you can CAPITALIZE this cost and it does not hit the bottom line. This is good money to spend. Otherwise it is an expense and it is bad money to spend.

> Anyway, I think you get the idea. No big thing against contractors, just a ledger page decision.
