I've been in the cable industry for 14 years as a splicer, to some it may seem like a long time and others, maybe not so long. But in those years I think , I have learn alot about it, from all sides of the fence. I guess, My main concern is the money! I went contracting to get rid of the middle man. And in the last 5 years, My income has inproved greatly. An if the Union has a set price on each job, Your basicly controlling the money that I can make. And as for the freedom of going to a job? Do you have option with a Union? There many questions I have about it. I'm not saying I'm against it, But would like to no more.
