Micro
We both been around long enough to know companies change ownership all the time. It is impossible to keep up with, so I don’t try. What I discover surprised me. During the course of researching the Apollo lasher, I found that it works much the same as a Cable Spinner lasher out of New London MN(now owned by a company out of Canada called DCD, last I knew). But the Apollo lasher is actually built and sold by GMP (which was bought by Kline Tools, last I looked). The old Cs &Js have built most of the Aerial OSP but they are dependent on friction between the lasher drive roller and the strand, which means down pressure to keep them spinning. The Cable Spinners (DCD) spins If wire is being pulled out as does the GMP Apollo. Both will lash cable, both have their place and linemen always have their preferences.
