Interesting TSBCCC, I first used the Cable Spinner back in 1978 while building Topeka Ka, which is where the original Cable Spinner was built,  It sucked, there was no getting use to it.  It stayed stored in the back of my warehouse till I recently sold it, when I closed up shop.  As you said the C-J lasher GMP, has made companies $$$$ billions of dollars over the last 74 years so why change, the only reason I know of is because the lineman/grunts of today want something easy to pull, just like they all want a bucket truck.  My vote would be to stay with the C-J and get some better help.....real linemen  !!     Thanks for that info on ownership, take care, keep EM spinning , no matter what make or model you select.   MicroMan (1965-2015)  I DONE !!
