Comcast and Spectrum are getting away from FTTH, cant offer any more then what fiber and coax does now. Why spend the money, if it aint broke dont fix it. Nodes dont cost $15,000 like a Vhub, dont have to retrain and retool techs etc. FTTH is the future, just not now. Ive been a contractor for 38yrs, built it all from N to S and E to W and until the industry pays for better technology it wont get built. There arent many of us left to take care of whats out there why muck it up with FTTH, first time a bundle of fiber gets hit, expect long days and nights of low pay and frustration.
