It doesn't matter what you want as a contractor...it's all about what the "End User" Requires in today social networking and business. Fiber is not for future use...it's for today use !!
You can not stop Advanced Technology...."Competition Breeds Excellence and drives down prices". If your a true contractor..your do your own Fiber training and become the contractor of choice when MSO's finally takes that big step.
As for fiber, I've been building fiber networking systems since 1981...it's not new, it's just that MSO's are to damn cheap, that is why the telephone companies will come out the winner over the next 25 years.
