I opened the fsn access file as you suggested and found 2 Fields in the Property table
_CreatedVersion 4000000
_Editversion 4000000
Using the Version you mentioned (3.0.38 to 3.0.37), I then got stumped as to what to enter so I opened a Sample.fsn that showed 3000183
3000183 which I now guess relates to your 3.0.38 or maybe I am just in the wrong table.
It would be great if the changes you suggested to the program could be done for all to benefit.
