Re: Hit the nail on the proverbial head.

You are right.  Ignorance is the subject of the story.  The author of the story is ignorant for painting with such a wide brush.  The point of his story is to get the left excited that someone is calling out the right and get the right pissed off for being called extremists.
There is a left extreme as well as a right extreme.  While our definition of extreme for each side may differ, I think we can agree there are bad people to each extreme.  The problem is that because of media sensationalism the extremes get the most attention.  The major news TV is liberal leaning so the extreme right is painted as evil there.  The majorority of radio media is conservative leaning so the extreme left is painted as evil.  Again, wide brush.
The purpose of the government and media today, in this regard, is to keep working in this direction.  While we argue about semantics,  they continue to do the things that drive us nuts.  The ONLY time the constituents matter is before or during an election.  And that is just for show, for votes.  This has been going on for decades, centuries, as old as politics.
There is a two word answer for many of the major problems in this country.  Term limits.....but that is a whole new discussion.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Quit being part of the problem!
