Re: Your comments on conservatism and trickle down. Can you please point to any point in time and any country or economy that proves trickle down works. Before you respond with the typical Reagan BS, please remember the following:
Reagan raised taxes over 10 times.
Reagan signed EMTALA (AKA Reagancare), which mandated that businesses (hospitals) provide goods and services (treatment) to anyone regardless of their ability or willingness to pay. IMO, this law is the reason we need Healthcare Reform today but thats another battle.
Reagan is the one who expanded the Earned Income Credit to what it is today. This is the credit that allows people to work and pay little or no taxes, but still get massive refunds. In other words tax payer monies going to low income people. This is what conservatives today call 'wealth redistribution'.
The national debt nearly tripled under Reagan.
All of these are FACTS. Now please, point to any economy or country, at anytime in history where trickle down economics was put to use and WORKED.
