Sorry to say that is a joke. You are out of touch with current standards. If you are onsite for an "upgrade" you are expected to bring the whole job up to code. There is no "service call" coming. lol Good one. Just try to call Directv with that BS, and I promise you will hear from your "supervisor" very soon.
That is my whole point. We are being FORCED to do what is really a total rebuild of a job PLUS give the customer all new receivers and remotes, download all software, add new equipment, put up a new dish and bring the job up to code for the price of an upgrade, which should have been a simple service call to begin with.
I am not the only Direct contractor who is living under these conditions, and I am hoping more will chime in here...
