Rule of thumb for most MSO's is that all SS must be at least 3 ft from any equipment when they supply analog channels. Anything shorter can effect the sine wave. How long is the run? You may just want to replace the cable. Sounds like the crew screwed up.
PS another rule of thumb for most MSO's is no SS in new build!
