@ installitright.....very well said. When I started in 1975 at Teleprompter (yeh, I'm older than pressure taps) it was fine to do it that way. I remember when HBO was a part time channel AND it was the only premium there was. 12 channels was state of the art, and you could make just about any configuration pass signal. That's all that mattered back then. Man oh man how things have changed. Back then we were afraid of technology i.e, when we got rid of tube type amps and upgraded to that new fangled single ended modular thingy (220mhz).....we all thought they would need less techs to do maintenance. Look where we are now. It's been a damn great ride amd I'm proud to still be in the game. At 54 I can still climb circles around the guys that work for me who are half my age. I just don't let them see the pain the next day, LOL. You can come to work for me any time. Like the way you think!
