The job was davis bacon (stimulus) in Montana. I argued with the owners about having to reclassify as a groundmen every time i came off the pole. Machine operators had the same complaint, owners stated that there was no way they could be machine operators 8 hours a day and said at some point in the day they would have to come off their rig for hand digging, trench inspection ect.
I dont know the law well enough. Just know I wont do another Davis Bacon gig again. I wouldnt doubt (with this company) that the owners were deliberately trying to trim cost because they tremendously underbid the project in the first place.
