   I can't speak for all hotels, but I know that the major  hotels like the ones you mentioned have them working under a student or work visa that after a background check is paid for by the hotel. Some of the hotel chains even pay for their classes (mostly online or night school) and give them a place to stay. Casinos do the same thing.   Motels are a different story.
