That is complete bullshit.  I went through that in new orleans with cox.  Company named ddr brought a bunch of techs in, myself included and promised us the same rates after capi got sued and went down the tube.  They cut the pay rate a week after we started and then to top it off changed us to w-2 employees and of course we still had to pay for gas and to rent the truck.  Needless to say that most techs walked but from what i hear its terrible down there.  DDR is now out and work as a supersub for superior along with 2 other shops.  Anyway long story short leave cable and sat alone and let the fukin MSOs melt like they should.  The who system is corrupt and unfortunately far too many people still defend it even though it is crushing famalies and financial security.  Goodsky is a great example why a nation walk out or union will not work.   Some people think the piss dripping on their heads really iss rain.  lol
