A lot of companies are starting to take that stance because of fraud in there systems. One sales rep puts in an upgrade and tries to change the job to take credit for the whole sale etc. If you discover the problem before its installed you can try to cancel it and rebuild under the correct sales id. But then again some companies put a hold on an address if it had a previous work order put in. But if you don't know someone in the system or have a manager who does its really not worth the effort to fight it. Just hope its not a big order most are under 200 bucks if not a hundred bucks these days. Learn from this one because by the time you do all the work of getting paid for the job you could just write another order or two. Plus look on the bright side you can't get charged back if they don't keep the service. Good luck
