the only way to out do a corporation is by organization. And there are just more people doing this type work anymore. If you quit they will replace you. I remember techs were getting 40 bucks to do a modem install with a dedicated line . 17 bucks for the line and 23 bucks for the software install. But the cable company thought the techs were making to much money so they simply removed the billing code for the software install. And they still expected you to set up the pc. And that is what the cable company does on a regular basis and since you only have one client you deal with it or go elsewhere. I found a company that paid 30 bucks for a software install and I wish I would have never left that job. But it slowed up and they never had the work volume the other company did.
