$125 upgrade on an emta from modem, on dedicated line and interconnect to existing telco wiring. $23 extra for an alarm. 3 of those a day plus a triple play or two and life was good. At those prices I made sure my work was 110% as I wanted to hold onto that gravy train for as long as possible, but alas, the MSO's got greedy.
