Boy it's been awhile since i've installed!! We were always told "Do Not Cascade Splitters." Which means, you should not have a splitter feeding to another splitter to another splitter, so on and so forth. Everthing should be homerunned from one point, ie: the demarc, attic entrance, or a low voltage pannel. There are always exceptions to the rules, like apartments.
