man you hit it right on the head.
when the middle-man started being a pig (The 1st was Mas Tec)
that is when he wanted a piece of the custom work.
the whole business of contracting went down the tube.
they did not care that the custom work enabled the contractor to cover all expenses.
they tried to place the blame on DTV or DISK Corp,
but the truth of the matter is that it was
the greedy middle-man who figured he was missing out on good money (ooooh sooooo good$$$$$)
please excuse i digress.
now the quality of sat installs are worst than cable...
i never would have thought that was possible.
sh-- cable wants to pay $12 a hour to do triple play.
The real problem is that we as contractor ALLOW/ALLOW
THEM TO DO THAT.
On the real side, if some OUT OF TOWN company NEEDS me/us
to do work (he cannot get it done with out me/us)
and if we stick together, by posting industry rates and stop undercutting each other
than they will pay what we say.
we could take back the custom work IT BELONGS TO US.
is that something that could happen?
I think not, everybody is out for self...
