In my 20+ years in the industry I've worked with some good and bad women techs same as men techs. The good ones tend to stay around and progress the bad ones are usually weeded out quickly.
I personally don't care if your man, woman, black, white, brown, green, whatever, just as long as you can do your job and can do it right. Expect anyone that works for me to do the same, personal differences are left at home and not brought into the shop or taken into the field. This makes everyone's job easier.
Don't know why you have met up with such hostility true cable dawgs judge you by who you are not what you are.
Keep doing what your doing and you'll have the last laugh when your still working and they aren't. The people who start trouble are almost always the first to go when there's no work.
