Re: Any HPNA techs?

I work with EPB Fiber Optics in Chattanooga, TN. Ee use Alcatel-Lucent ONTs, 2 separate versions, the old one which has a coaxial HPNA unit that goes in a panel behind the ONT with a cat5e that connects to it from the ONT for iptv, and the newer ONT which has the HPNA built-in to its coaxial output which has RF and HPNA combined, must use a sub-band diplexer to separate them. We also use Cisco 330 and 430 stb's, and I'll tell you that we seem to have alot of trouble with the coaxial cable that is labeled "SWEEP TESTED 3.0 GHZ" or "2.5 GHZ", specifically the ones with the softer center-conductors, the ones that are more of a solid copper rather than copper-clad steel.Just a my $.02.
