Hopefully you have a good boss that will back you up. When I was a system manager I had to here from lots of customers that complained about the techs. I always sided with the techs, mainly because I knew them and knew they did the job right, and secondly because I started in this business as an installer and knew all the bs that customers can do.
Then after backing the tech up I had to smooth things over with the customers because they pay the bills that pay me and the techs. Been 2 years since I left that job and I still have s slight bad aftertaste in my mouth because of all the bs I had to deal with. But that might be coming from dealing with the government that I have to do now.
