Re: DTV Really Drop Our Pay and Not Pay for Broad

Well then the tech didn't realize he had grounds for charging for a pole mount. The standard install only includes mounting it to an exterior wall of the home. That's why the company you work for gives you a list of "custom fees". What's at the top of the list? Pole mount. How does the tech get paid for a pole mount? Bill the customer. Why should the customer pay? Because it is outside the parameters of a standard installation and there's a big friggin tree in the yard and they really want service. I suppose we should be trenching lines for free to, right? Wall fish? Standard installation only includes one line running to each receiver "through an exterior wall or up through the floor". A deca is an additional line run outside of the standard installation. Phone line runs are also outside of the standard installation. It only states that a phone line needs to be hooked up. Running a new phone line is custom.
