It is connected to the neutral safety switch which is either on the steering column inside the truck under the dash or on the side of the trans where the selector shaft goes into the trans (the gear selector shaft that is connected to the steerin column)
Look for an electronic switch in either of those locations and then unplug it be advised that your backup lights will also not work any longer with the switch unplugged.
You may want to go to your local parts store and see what it looks like before you start unpluggin stuff because there are a number of other things on the transmission and steering column that you would not want unplugged so be sure before you do it
