I disagree, I have windows XP pro, and im running 4 250G hard drives, which = 1 terabyte
Im also running 4gigs of ram and an AMD phenom processer, 2 video cards and blue ray. The OS can handle and does support it, or atleast mine is,
If your PC is slow, remove Service pack 3 from your system and revert back to service pack 2, Microsoft is having serious issues with SP3 since its release
You don't have to replace your hard drive, you just need to buy another one and add it to your PC, internal or external doesnt matter, and you can upgrade your Video card just as easy if your motherboard has a slot for it, agp or pci/pci express
So..ADD a hard drive $100
Upgrade Video Card $100
Upgrade RAM if possible $50
So upgrade, less than $300
New Computer, $800+
Just my 2 cents worth
