Again, who said that? I never said that they lied. They are just too biased to the right.
I never said that oil companies can drill where they want. Anywhere in the US that oil companies want to drill, an environmental impact statement has to be prepared. They take a look at what drilling will do to the groundwater, aquafers, habitat, etc.
Take a good look at what is happening in the Gulf right now and ask yourself why the environmentalists are concerned about drilling in ANWR.
As far as oil companies go, they go where the oil is, pure and simple.
This is why they are in the Gulf http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PDFs/2007/2007-020.pdf right now.
