I worked for Cox inhouse and as a contractor for 15 years and I can tell you they can care less about the contractor and will try to lowball them everytime they can. As an employee, when you start making the money you become a target for termination. There are so many ways that their risk management team has to accomplish this it is not even funny. I recently worked on the San Diego, CA and Tucson, AZ upgrade projects and 4 out of the 5 primes are no longer in business. Cox has also made the paperwork so extensive that many of my splicer and sweep buddies have quit the business. I am currently looking for another career because I cant handle the BS anymore. Who was the prime in Virginia? Was it advanced systems group or something like it or RTC Broadband?
