Many times I have came across a bad self term or line term that made the amp location feeding it look grassy
Funny how you mention that cableho. I chased my tail for 4 hours yesterday on this very same issue. Bad line terminator at EOL and ring crack at the 14 tap that was feeding the EOL. Not sure which was causing the reflection, but once they were both repaired my "bad feeder" suddenly came clean on the sweep 6 spans before the repair location at the tap that feeds the last amp in cascade.
