Cool. That is a very common issue. It is good to keep in mind when getting a reference at the node location to pay attention to the raw sweep. If there is a bad term, or open issue close to the node you will reference it out, then when you go a different direction it will look grassy throughout the sweep from a bad reference and can run you in circles.
When I came to this system they had every eol powered up, almost no ground, and a buttload of bad line terms and not a tap term anywhere. We had to have the guys go out and change line terms, term tap ports and pull power from all the splitters and amps that passed power for no reason. Funny I still find stuff powered up and taps not termed. Guys just dont care lol. Glad to hear there are techs out there who actually try to fix stuff.
