All these labor type companies that use illegals and use the excuse "they do the work that we won't" and "they work harder" are full of shit. The real reason is they pay the illegals straight pay with no overtime, don't have to pay any sort of taxes, or any type of insurance, don't have to worry about unemployment benefits being taken from their fund, and can be as abusive as they want because the illegals want to stay under the radar and can't simply show up at, or make complaints to the DOL, or any other govt. entity for fear of being sent home. The women simply have their anchor babies here and apply for help.
Going after the illegals working here will simply see them coming back over after being dumped over the border. Actually I remember a Cheech n Chong movie where the illegals actually called in a raid on their own home so that they could get a free bus ride to Mexico to attend a relatives wedding.
What needs to be done is the arrest and prosecution of the company owners that hire illegals and have charges of aiding and abetting, tax evasion, labor violations, harboring criminals, and hell since this whole problem has affected our economy in contributing to it's possible collapse, maybe charges of treason would be appropriate. I'm sure if put under a microscope there could be dozens of charges brought against those that hire illegals.
Deporting 100 or so illegals at a time does nothing but give the news media the ability to have some flash so that the government can look good and say "we're doing our job". When in fact deporting 100 or so illegals is like pissing into the ocean to make the tide rise because there are 10 of millions more already here to come along and replace those that are simply going to sneak back in anyway.
When our elected leaders send the message out that you will be locked up for using "undocumented workers" and actually start hauling people off to jail and confiscating company assets to pay for the prosecution of said criminals, then and only then will you see a change begin in that problem.
If there are no jobs here for them and no benefits for them here while they are in illegal status, then they'll either go home and stop coming here, or immigrate here through the proper channels. And the whole bullshit plan about amnesty is a joke as do you really think making them citizens and giving them S.S. numbers will see them getting jobs on the books ??? or simply continue to work off the books, sending their pay back to where they came from so more family members can come here, and now they will have legal rights to public assistance that tax paying Americans will be burdened with.
