How can you possibly think it is Ok to pass a bill saying you passed an entirely different bill without EVER having voted on the original bill. If the house is so sure fire confident that the health care bill is what their constituents want, why are they hiding under the skirts of this new bill? If it is the right thing as per the people they REPRESENT, then why the schrade. It gives them cover for the upcoming elections so they can talk out of both sides of their mouth depending on which group they are speaking to. They are right that they should be afraid of the repercussions of passing this against the will of their constituents. So they do what comes naturally to them, sneak slither and hide in the shadows because the truth will kick tier ass.
Do the right thing in the open. The only thing in DC that should be behind closed doors is intelligence or top secret national security issues, not health care. This cloak and dagger crap is what has gotten us to where we are now.
And as far as the rules goes, they write the rules for the bills when they come to the floor, they can right a rule thay says they have to drink a bottle of scotch before each vote too if they want to. Lame Lame arguement.
Do all of the peoples business in the light of day, and if you cant do it that way, you shouldn't be doing it anyway.
