I get my tires at Walmart as they are the best bang for the buck. Had a 91 chevy missing lug nuts and they would not mount em even if I signed a waiver. Their policy clearly states that its a liability issue. I hope that once you get ahold of the corporate office and explain what happened they stroke you a check or refund your $$. NO tire place on the planet should have put tires on a cracked rim. Thats just stupid. Good luck to ya and I hope you get your $$ back.. I would lean heavily on the liablitly of your wife driving around on a cracked rim with new tires on it.  If she were to, heaven forbid, have an accident, and the rim was any way responsible they would be on the hook for ALL of your expenses. So they either refund you the $300 or pay tens of thousands in the event of an accident...
