This isn't directly to the topic but replacing lugs isn't that difficult, especially on a rear with drums, and they're only a few bucks each. If you find a broken lug then REPLACE IT right away. You don't want to be going 70 down the highway and see your tire passing you in the next lane. You might make it ok but the poor guy who gets the head-on won't.
It's easy to define what you're willing to fight for; but what are you willing to stand for without fighting? What are you willing to lay down your life for?
