Labor laws are on the books yes, and so is the min wage. Yes the federal gov passed these laws but with that said any state could file a suit and challenge and if before the scotus it should be struck down. the feds powers are limited by the constitution .The runaway train has simply gone unchallenged too long. They are also completely unenforcible. Yeah yeah maybe a complaint goes out here or there and the gestapo shows up, makes some threats and problem moves somewhere else. (violations ongoing everywhere)For that matter the complaint rarely is settled at the fed level. Civil rights, on the other hand would be a reasonable standard to accept and be guided by the fed but I don't see the parallel. Unless you are suggesting that only current minorities are the peeps without insurance and this garbage legislation will now somehow level some sort of playing field. after all that was what the act was all about. futhermore I don't see anyone paying for their civil rights or being fined for not exercising them.
