Do you personally know some one that has been denied coverage by their health insurance provider? I didn't pick this stuff off of the internet. Everything that I have written about is from personal experience from my friends and family.
Auto insurance is the perfect example. When auto insurance became mandatory, every one was bitching about the government stepping in where they don't belong, just like people are doing now about health insurance. It was the same when the government stepped in and made seatbelt use mandatory.
Alot of people don't have health insurance now because it is just to expensive. My plan for just myself runs $618 per month. That is over $7400 per year. How many people in today's economy can afford that much? The only reason I carry health insurance is if something happens, god forbid, the average emergency room visit in my area is $1500. Ambulance runs about $750 and Lifeflight will set you back about $8,000.
Sab, do you have health insurance?
